United States Senate
The United States Senate is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress. It was established in 1787 by the makers of the Constitution. Its creation was a result of the Connecticut Compromise, which looked forward to balancing the interests of large and small states. 39 of the 55 delegates present at the ad hoc assembly signed the United States Constitution in 1787, leading to the establishment of the nation that would soon rise to become the greatest superpower in history
